Connie Moorhead

Connie Moorhead is a highly accomplished chief executive, and education and development expert with 28 years of experience across physical security, fire and life safety, manufacturing, construction and distribution industries.  Leveraging her extensive cross-industry expertise and broad business skill set, Connie has proven to be a top-valued asset for numerous companies and is a proven leader in sales, social media and training. Her areas of expertise include leading and growing startups, sales, marketing, social media, eLearning and consulting and freelance teaching, both at universities and privately.

Throughout her executive career, Connie has held leadership positions at a number of innovative eLearning, technical education and HR services companies, including The CMOOR Group, Construction Zone, National Processing Company and Ceridian. In her current role as the president and CEO of The CMOOR Group, she leads the overall executive vision and oversees product development and implementation of strategic plans to facilitate growth. Since founding the company in 2000, Connie led The CMOOR Group to grow into a multimillion-dollar business, achieving sustainable profitability and personally securing contracts with Fortune 100 companies.

Connie holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Louisville. In addition to her executive career, Connie is actively involved with several non-profit, including serving on the board of a new

501 (c) 3, as the executive director of School Dangers Organization. When Connie is not running her business she is serving on one of the many industry groups or volunteer committees for which she participates. Connie is an active member of ATD, the eLearning Guild, the National Association of Female Executives and the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Connie also now serves as a mentor to young women in STEM career paths through the #IAmAWomanInSTEM initiative.  The industry has responded to Connie’s expertise in many ways. Connie was a finalist for the National Association of Women Business Owners 2004 Woman Business Owner of the Year.

Connie’s leadership has lead to CMOOR being awarded the Top Diversity Owned business title from the widely acclaimed Diversity 2000 in both 2003 and 2004. CMOOR was also awarded the inc.Credible award from the Louisville Chamber of Commerce for the Top Woman Owned Business in Louisville (2011).

Connie also serves as a guest editor for several industry magazines.
