Paul Jacobson is a senior level corporate communications executive with nearly four decades of experience as a journalist, government spokesman, corporate executive and communications consultant. He was press secretary to three United States Senators, two of them majority leaders, and a spokesman and communications strategist for presidential and U.S. Senate campaigns. In the private sector he led communications functions at the C-Suite level in the major theatrical motion pictures, major league sports, fossil energy, nuclear energy, telecommunications, cable television programming, cable television operations, high-tech, hospitality and fashion industries.
Currently he is a partner in the strategic communications counsel and management firm SilversJacobson, LLC, which he co-founded with Steven Silvers in 2016. The firm currently serves a wide range of clients with crisis and strategic communications and services in sectors ranging from energy to entertainment, real estate development to banking, litigation communication, high-tech and big data.
Mr. Jacobson received a BA in broadcast journalism and political science from Syracuse University’s S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Maxwell School of Citizenship and holds certificates from the Ragan Communications Social Media Boot Camp and the American Petroleum Institute University. He served as a member of the Rocky Mountain PBS Public Advisory Board and represented Evergreen Energy as an advisor to the Institute for Sino-American International Dialogue at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of International Studies. He has served on the Boards of Directors for Cable Positive, the Cable Television Public Affairs Association (CTPAA), the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame and the Five Points Media Center.
