In this PSA Cybersecurity Committee presentation, a group of industry peers will discuss cybersecurity concerns related to CCTV and access control installations and ways to help mitigate them.  There are several cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and guidelines that have been published, but can be difficult to translate into field installation practices and policies.  We will begin with a high-level review of the NIST cyber security framework, CIS controls, COBIT, and IoTSF.  After reviewing the frameworks, the panel will discuss creating actionable tasks for the major sections to help provide a more secure installation for our end users, including password use and management, device firmware patching, server patching, network security configurations, monitoring of overall data flow, and information to be passed back to a customer infosec team.

Super Track(s)

Learning Objectives

1. Recognize cybersecurity concerns when implementing an installation
2. Review cybersecurity frameworks to implement
3. Identify tasks to implement for a more secure installation
